4 DAY SAFARI TO THE NGORONGORO CRATER & SERENGETI

rhino

F or the 4-Day Safari we will take you on the long trek through the crown jewel of safari parks the Serengeti. Along the way, you’ll be able to see the herds of all types of animals. There will be gazelles, impalas, giraffes, elephants, and wildebeest. In the trees, leopards will be dining on their prey. Hyena, lions, and vultures will battle over a meal of gazelles and the water will be filled with deadly predators like crocodiles and hippos. On the fourth day, you’ll visit the stunning Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area. It is an 11-mile across, 2,000 foot deep extinct volcanic crater that is home to all the same animals as the Serengeti. You’ll spend the day being entertained by the mating ostrich, stalking hippos, and lazy lions.

Day 1

Elephant

We will pick you up from your lodge around 7 AM. It is a several hours drive to the Serengeti National Park. Along the way, you can stop for souvenirs and snacks and view the Maasai people tend to their flocks, some as young as five. You make your way across the vast African plains to the Park. You’ll experience an action-packed game drive until 5 PM when the park closes. From the park, we will drive you to your tented camp in time for dinner.

Day 2

Hippo

Today is spent driving around the Serengeti. The word ‘Serengeti’ means ‘endless plains’, which describes the park’s 5,600 square mile boundary. Even though it is quite large, the game drive doesn’t disappoint. The driver will be on the radio to find out where all the animals are active. The Serengeti is arguably the best safari park in the world and has vast herds of wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, and giraffes. Every year these herds migrate from the central Serengeti to Kenya’s Masai Mara and back again in an incredible spectacle. The herd is made up of millions of animals. Not only are the herd animals readily visible, but there are also elephants, giraffes, lions, leopards, cheetah, hyenas, hippos, and jackals. After a long day of animal viewing, we will return you to your tented camp for the night.

Day 3

Cheetah

After breakfast, we will make the long drive back through the Serengeti enjoying the animals en route to the Ngorongoro Crater. You’ll stay in our tented camp near the Crater for the night.

Day 4

Giraffe

We will pick you up from your lodge around 7 AM. We will drive you into the Ngorongoro crater as early as possible. The animals are most active in the early morning. A good amount of time to stay there is about six hours. The Crater is only 11 miles across and you’ll get plenty of viewing time in that amount of time. In the afternoon we will drive you back to Arusha.

With prior arrangements, we can drop you off at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) after the safari.

 * Clients can make any flight departing after 8:00 PM from Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO)
