Crazy Sandstone Slot Canyon

One Sunday morning four of us—permit in hand—decided to tackle a narrow, slot canyon. Watch the video of us as we slide, squeeze and rappel through. It has 12 rappels with the longest being a 3 stage, 420 ft rappel. It consists of a 100 foot rappel into a crack that is only 1 foot wide and 5 feet deep, a 20 foot rappel to an “edge of the world” hanging anchor and a 300 ft rappel down a sheer wall. Once out of the canyon you kayak 4 miles down river to the exit point.
